MSc without Thesis in Financial Mathematics

In addition to at least 30 credit units of course work, seminar, and research methods and ethic units, students must prepare and successfully defend a term project. Expected duration to complete the MSc without Thesis Program is 3 semesters. Recommended curriculum is as follows:

(*) IAM 541 Probability Theory is prerequisite course for IAM 522 (by January 2023).

For students enrolled in the Scietific Preparation (SP) program, the mandatory courses listed below will be determined according to their B.Sc. background

Scientific Preparation  
  • IAM530 Elements of Probability and Statistics
  • IAM527 Advanced Calculus and Integration (or MATH250)
  • IAM591 Programming Techniques in Applied Mathematics I
  • IAM592 Programming Techniques in Applied Mathematics II
  
  • To pass scientific preparation programme successfully students should get at least CB grade in all SP courses. To see more details of the rules and regulations follow this link.   
  • These courses may partially be kept compulsory based on undergraduate background.
  • Depending on the background of the student and the availability of these courses SP can be one or two semester.
